Taqdeer Award to Honour 91 Distinguished Workers and Companies on May 17 Under HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed's Patronage

Dubai, United Arab Emirates Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council, a grand ceremony is being held to honour the companies and workers who have won the Taqdeer Award in its 4th cycle.

The ceremony will take place on May 17 at the Sheikh Rashid Hall of the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) at 11 AM, with all COVID-19 protocol and approved precautionary measures being implemented.
It will be attended by prominent leaders from the government departments, senior officials, representatives of regional and international organizations, professionals from different departments in government and private sectors, members of diplomatic corps and the media, along with the representatives of the winning companies and their distinguished workers.
Major Khaled Ismail, Secretary-General of the Award, said, “The ceremony comes as a celebration of the excellent labour welfare measures in place in the emirate despite the difficult circumstances and challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.”
He added: “During the ceremony, the most prominent achievements of the Award in its fourth cycle will be revealed along with the government incentives and the special excellence cards issued by the Award management for distinguished workers and companies. There will be a presentation of two documentary films on important role the Award plays in building better relations between the companies and workers and strengthening the reputation of the UAE in this regard.”

The Taqdeer Award is supported and sponsored by the Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Water and Electricity Authority, Dubai Municipality, General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA-Dubai), wasl Asset Management, Nedaa - Professional Communication Corporation, the Permanent Committee of Labour Affairs in Dubai as Strategic Partners and in collaboration with Expo 2020.

The total number of workers and companies winning the five categories of the Award in its 4th cycle include 91 workers and companies, of whom 77 workers and companies received between 3 to 5-star ratings will be honoured. In addition, 14 workers and companies who received 1 to 2-star ratings will be awarded with certificates of participation. Four companies will be awarded with 5-star rating, 11 companies with 4-star rating, 14 companies with 3-star rating, 10 companies with 2-star rating and 4 companies with 1-star rating.
In terms of workers, 4 engineers will receive 5-star category award, 4 supervisors will be awarded with the title of distinguished field supervisor, and 4 workers in the category of distinguished worker. While in the 4-star category, 11 workers got the title of distinguished field supervisor. And 11 workers got the distinguished worker title, and 14 workers got the distinguished worker title in the 3-star category. |
